Dear Support,

so far, somehow we managed to finish the 1st. version of our social community. Now, we are planning to set advanced profile types for paid services, so that when a member wishes to receive additional services, (s)he has to switch to a paid profile type. Could you please give us a hint on, how do we do that?

regards,
In Easysocial, that was not possible to achieve this but 3rd party extension - Payplans can achieve as what you described at above.

You can read this reference link : http://www.readybytes.net/payplans/documentation/easysocial-registration.html

Perhaps you can consult with their support regarding this?

Thank you Arlex for the quick response!
Today later on, I'll take a look on it! Hey, I just have 1 more simple question:
1st. Do you know by coincidence, where I can change the main description for the profile types (screenshot and link: http://modelwelt.at/index.php/community/registrierung)?
best regards !

Hi Peter,

You can edit the description, on DIR:../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/registration/default.php and change the COM_EASYSOCIAL_REGISTRATIONS_SELECT_PROFILE_TYPE_INFO.

OR you can change it on language file DIR: ../language/xx-XX/xx-XX.com_easysocial.ini and change the COM_EASYSOCIAL_REGISTRATIONS_SELECT_PROFILE_TYPE_INFO ="Wähle einen Profil-Typ der am besten zu Dir passt. Verschiedene Profile bieten unterschiedliche Funktionalitäten."

Please give it a try

Hi Fadhli,
I can't thank you enought for your help! I also need to thank you for the patient you have with all my questions! This support here is outstanding!!!
Anyway, I need to challenge your patient one more time with other concerns I have;
Look, on our site (http://modelwelt.at/index.php/mitglieder) we activated the "EasySocial Dating Search"- module. I would love to configure member search a way, visitors can browse members by their profile types. But honestly, I have no idea how to make this happen ! I also would like to have the memper profile pictures resized. But I can't find the codes for it.

My (hopefully) last question I have is; When a registered member is clicking the star at the right side of the corner (is on the screenshot), what actually supposed to be happen, other than it has just bee clicked? And what it the star mean?

Thank you again very much for your great assistance!

Can't edit the post, so I have to add one more explanation, in order to avoid a confusion here; it's related to my question "member search"; Since this will be a plattform for models, fotografers, etc. Instead of search for their sex (male or female) or by their age, they need to be found by their respective profession! Hope that made it ?

You're welcome Peter.

My (hopefully) last question I have is; When a registered member is clicking the star at the right side of the corner (is on the screenshot), what actually supposed to be happen, other than it has just bee clicked? And what it the star mean?

Oh actually that `star` is feature purpose, when you click on that feature icon from the photo, it will featured that photo and it will affected from the album view. You can refer on my screenshot below.

Regarding with your dating search module, it will not possible to achieve this.

However, is it possible create one of the example for what you mentioned that respective profession? Is it the model will enter their profession details into their profile?

If yes, that will possible to achieve this, but you have to create menu item for display EasySocial advanced search page, you can refer on my second screenshot.

Hi Arlex,
Thank you for your quick respond! About the advanced search option, you mentioned; The only one I could find was the Easy social search option (screenshot). I'm really sorry, but I quite don't understand, why I have to select a profile type, since I want to let visitors browse members by profile type? Or did I understand something wrong here?
best regards!

Ah I am sorry for the confusing in my last reply.

For example :

When a models register in your site, they will enter their personal details into their user profile.

So you can create a new menu item from your backend > Menus > select your default main menu > Click "New" button > select this menu type "Easysocial - "Advanced Search" (screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/yz9JXqSBHN || http://screencast.com/t/WX1Hloobdrwr) > save

Then your site visitor can open this page and select which custom field they want to search from the models.

If you still haven't get my point, perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend access so I can show some of the example for you.

Hi Arlex,
like always, thank you so much for following up on my concern! Well, I think I got your point, but still under all these options I cannot spot any user type I created (screenshot) . Do I have to add an extra code or something linke that? The search of user type is so important, because otherwise the members of this community won't be able to find their respective business pal(s)! Is there a way, I can adjust the advanced search option with some additional coding, where I can take off unneeded options like "mal", "female", "birthday" , "school and university", etc. and therefore add "profession"by pointing that option to the user types? Than that would be really awesome!

Hey Peter,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Well, I think I got your point, but still under all these options I cannot spot any user type I created (screenshot) .

Perhaps you can provide us with your screenshot again, so that I can see which part you referring?

Do I have to add an extra code or something linke that? The search of user type is so important, because otherwise the members of this community won't be able to find their respective business pal(s)! Is there a way,

I am not really sure are you referring this or not, perhaps you can take a look of my attached 2 screenshot below? When you create that "Easysocial - User" menu item, it will show all of your social user profile type user.

Is there a way, I can adjust the advanced search option with some additional coding, where I can take off unneeded options like "mal", "female", "birthday" , "school and university", etc.

Yes, you no need to touch any code and you can easier to turn off these search custom field option from backend > Easysocial > profile type > select all of your profile type > custom field > edit > gender/birthday field > advanced tab > set search to NO , so it will not appear on your advanced search page. (You can refer on my 3rd screenshot).

and therefore add "profession"by pointing that option to the user types? Than that would be really awesome!

I am a little bit lost here, perhaps you can provide us some screenshot regarding this "profession" stuff ?

Hi Arlex,
thank you again for your follow up and for being that patient with me!
About the searchable Profile types I mean, that I would love to add another drop down menu into the advanced search field (screenshot), where all the created profile types are listed. Once the visitor is choosing one of the listed profile type, than all users of that respective profile type will appear in the search result. Could I make my point clear now?
It would be pretty cool, when there'd be any way to archieve that somehow!

best regards!

Hey Peter,

Thanks for the input on this and it does sound like a pretty cool enhancement to EasySocial. I would strongly advise you to place your feature requests for EasySocial at http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial
