Character Counter does not show "allowed left"!?

Hello

I have a question about "Character Counter" in komento :
Why counter shows typed character rather than "allowed left" ?

by current method, some users will faced with error after sending form that : you have to type less than ....
Isn't more wisely that we alarm them before submit?

I would support that, showing only the amount of characters which might be left sounds like a good improvement.
