I assume I am missing something, but I have set the Joomla 2.5. default language to German and have installed the German Language in the Language setting. It indicates "Language Installed" after pressing the Install/Update button and the list shows "German language installed". However, no change in the frontend. Also odd: if you purge the cache in the Languages settings, the previously installed language shows "Not Installed" again.
Any idea what is going wrong or what I am doing wrong?
Hi Voler Damann,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue with the frontend translation, it was caused by two things. One, your user 'Support' the frontend language was set to 'en-US' hence when you logged in to your site with this user, english language was loaded. Please see http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-26_1358.png I've reconfigure the user's language to use 'default' and now EasyBlog is loaded the german language file correctly.

Two, the German language file for EasyBlog has an invalid string caused the language to fall back to English. I've corrected the invalid language string and now your EasyBlog is showing in German language. However, please take note that German language for EasyBlog is only at 62% complete and we are still waiting for the EasyBlog German translator team to make it 100%

Also, I've upgraded your EasyBlog to latest version of 5.0.11.
Hope this help and have a nice day!
Sam

Hi Volker Damann,

That was strange,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

By the way, can i have the permission to help you update to latest version?

Thank you, Sam. This solved the issue, and I understand the reason and know what needs to be done! And of course thanks for updating the EasyBlog version. I will check for new language releases.
I am really impressed by your support and responsiveness - so money well spent for your product.
Have a nice evening,

Volker
