Is there a way to change the text that EasyBlog posts to Facebook? I don't want it to post the article text (i.e. first 300 characters) as it will lose the HTML formatting and will look really weird.

Basically, is there an easy way to change it so it posts something more like what the Twitter or LinkedIn does? (I.e. "Check out our new post: {title}. {link})
Hello Christina,

You might want to go to this file: ../components/com_easyblog/classes/facebook/helper.php and change this line: http://screencast.com/t/5sSRqEoewTG . If you having any issue, you can provide us your backend, FTP and Facebook access so we can add the hack for you.

Thanks Nik.

Would it be possible to see an example/sample Facebook post that was auto-generated by EasyBlog? That way I would have a better idea of just how my changes to the helper.php file will change what actually gets posted.

Hello Christina,

Unfortunately there's no way to "preview" it The only way to see it in action is to try it and delete the stream item later.

Hmm...I was actually wondering if one of you guys had a testing version of EasyBlog set up somewhere that was also set to autopost to Facebook, and if I could see a screenshot of it (or a link to a live example). :-)

I don't need to see mine in action, I just want to see how everything is formatted when it autoposts to Facebook. I.e. where the title goes, where the URL goes, where the text/description goes, where the picture goes (if any), etc.

Hello Christina,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. You could actually just setup a "test page" using your Facebook account and auto post to this "test page"
