Could you please provide a checklist to suggest what may be preventing my replacing the default avatar by uploading a photo.

I am trying to do this through the backend. When I use the Edit Author Blog Settings and select a photo using the browse button to upload nothing happens.

I suspect there must be some other parameters which are blocking my changing the photo, but I don't know what they are.

The help guide says "can only change if you are using the built in avatar feature. If avatars are integrated with 3rd party avatar systems you will not be able to change this here". I don't understand what this means or how to overcome my problem.

Many thanks
Hi there Stephen!

The help guide says "can only change if you are using the built in avatar feature. If avatars are integrated with 3rd party avatar systems you will not be able to change this here". I don't understand what this means or how to overcome my problem.

As EasyBlog is usually used in conjunction with other social manager components such as EasySocial, JomSocial and the like, it will defer profile authority to those components. This means that should you use those components and integrate with it, you can only change parts of the profile such as the avatar on that component.

Hi Syazwan and Jasni

Thank you both for your help. Your answers helped increase my understanding of EasyBlog's functions - and enabled me to resolve my problem on how to replace the default avatar with a photo.

Very much appreciated
