Hello,
i am going creazy and will perhaps stop using vanilla,
i cant apply modification done on preset especially color changes.

it seems that take some time to be applied.
i truned on less to css, off ..
all tried.

can you advise ?
I just managed it after doing that LESS to CSS (and 'save') on the Template Advanced tab, and then clearing browser history / cache files. Did you try the cache clear step?

That being said, technical help on JoomShaper's Helix forum is advising you may need to use the CSS override section rather than the presets until Helix 4 comes out.

HMED, what Andy wanted to say is, go to Vanilla Preferences and switch "Compile LESS to CSS" ON. Then your presets will work as expected and you can change main color in one of the presets.

Hey HMED,

Perhaps you can give us a chance to help you check this issue first?

I also noticed you created multiple post on our forum with the same issue, perhaps you can update your login credentials into your original thread so we can help you check on this today.

From experimenting I found I had to do things in precisely this order for it to work:

1) Go to template settings > advanced and switch the LESS to CSS to ON. Save
2) Go to Presets and make changes. Then Save.
3) Now hard-refresh browser (and clear cache if necessary) to see changes.
4) Go back and change LESS to CSS to OFF.

Previously I'd done step 2 before step 1 assuming it wouldn't matter... but perhaps it does...

Hm, actually that is not only 4 classes to determine those background, major, dropdown colour and etc, because 1 major colour option involved a lots of different classes like menu bar, text permalink, button.

This is why Helix framework make it easy for user to change those major colour from the setting.

If you have some experience how to inspect element through the browser development tool, you can able to find which class name suppose to handle that part of the background colour.

You can watch my video here : http://take.ms/w32c2
