EasyBlog:

I've looked all over your documentation and Forum (lots of broken links...again) and can not find an answer.

How do you change the text sent in emails?

Thanks,
Mark
Hi Mark,
For the broken links, can you provide us some of those links so we can look into it? Thanks.

How do you change the text sent in emails?
There are a few steps involved to edit the text in the email.
1. First, find the email template files here: JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/emails/html
2. Then, open the email template file which you would like to edit. In this example, I will use the post.new.php file.
3. When you open the file, look for the language constants in the file(example in this screenshot.
4. Then, head to this language file: JoomlaFolder\language\en-GB\en-GB.com_easyblog.ini
5. Search for the language constants that you found in the email template file earlier. Once you find it, you can see what text is generated by that constant(http://take.ms/yYx0I).
6. Now, since it is not advisable to edit the language file directly(not update protected), you would then have to perform language string override instead so your changes are future update proof. You can refer to this guide on how to create language string override if you don't already know how to do so.
7. You can repeat the steps above for each language constant that you would like to edit in the email template files.

Hi,
That's a pain in the #$!%.... We should be able to edited this in Joomla admin.

Still no luck...I'm trying to find this:

"Your account has been activated by an administrator. "

------

How to I change the basic settings options in the account profiles?

I would like to remove some timezones, change "Frontend Language" to something else, set only 1 editor or remove other options.

Thanks,
Mark

Hey Mark,

Is this the language string you are trying to edit?
http://take.ms/O6BXh
If yes, this is actually from Joomla's email notification, not EasyBlog. This is the file path: JoomlaFolder\language\en-GB\en-GB.com_users.ini
This is the language constant: COM_USERS_EMAIL_ACTIVATED_BY_ADMIN_ACTIVATION_BODY
You can perform the language override using the guide with this language constant.

I would like to remove some timezones, change "Frontend Language" to something else, set only 1 editor or remove other options.
Do you mean Joomla's edit profile basic settings page?(http://take.ms/OkkAh)
