You can add a custom place holder image by adding it under the following location:

/templates/YOUR_JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/com_easyblog/images/placeholder-facebook.png

Hi, I don't have a com_easyblog file in /templates/YOUR_JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/html/

You have to manually add those new folder into your template directory file.

Mean you have to create following new folder in html directory :
- com_easyblog
- images

Then rename your custom facebook placeholder image to this name placeholder-facebook.png

As far as I can see I changed the placeholder for Facebook.
But what about the pics in in retaliates items within the blog?

You have to override this placeholder image in -> JoomlaFolder/templates/YourCurrentTemplate/html/com_easyblog/images/placeholder.png
