Hi,

currently dates are displayed like 8th Oct. I need to change this to the German format which is 8. Okt. So "th" must be replaced with a "."

How can I do this?
Hi Uwe,

Normally this can be controlled by the language files on Joomla or EasySocial. Is your site already on German language? Can you provide us a screenshot on where you see the 'th' so we can check where you can change it?

Hi Raymond, yes we have German installed as the main language of our site. The date format shows eg. in the upcoming birthdays. I have tried to find the respective language string but did not find it.

Hey Uwe,

The following language constant is used for the date.

COM_EASYSOCIAL_DATE_DM="jS M"
Remove the 'S' and you will no longer see 'th' on the date.

In the front-end language file, you can go to this section if you want to change the date formats to German format(attached). Remember to use Joomla's language override if you want to protect your translation changes from future updates.
