I am using EasySocial 2.0.21, therefor most of the documentation and forum responses is outdated and not helpful. I have a few questions from my client:

How do I change the date format to U.S.A. in Events?

Is there a way to list an event and NOT include the time?

Is there an option for multiple day events?

My client uses a third party event registration website but has complained that the website link for events is difficult to find by users. This is further complicated by our inability to add a link in the event description. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi there,

As from what i have stated on above replied, it seems that you havent added it 'Mandatory Field' as you can see here http://take.ms/SgU52. I have added them on 'NCAGG member' categories and it should works fine now.

Please give it a check and see how it goes

Hi there,

How do I change the date format to U.S.A. in Events?

You can change this string 'COM_EASYSOCIAL_DATE_DMY12H' for 12H and 'COM_EASYSOCIAL_DATE_DMY24H' for 24H into you required date format at this path language/en-GB/en-GB.com_easysocial.ini

Is there a way to list an event and NOT include the time?

Currently, there are no setting to disable date options, but you can do modifications on this path .../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/events/default/item.php by removing codes on line 40 and 71. You can do template override, as this customization will be overridden once you made any update/upgrade on your site as follow

Is there an option for multiple day events?

There are options for you to enable recurring events by adding this field http://take.ms/kXRx4 to your events categories.

Honestly, i am bit lost here actually. It would be best of you can explain more on this or maybe provide us with some screenshot or attachment for better understanding.

Please advice.

Thank you for your response.

The date format I wanted to change is in the date picker when creating events. See screenshot.

Question 4: Can we make the event website link easier to find?

Example:
http://www.ncagg.org/calendar/27-edge-of-light-submissions-due
The system does have an option to include a website link with an event. However, In viewing the calendar that website link is really buried and hard to find.

A user has to go to Calendar, click on Jul 30, Edge of Light Submissions Due, find a “Event Information” on the left (this took me a very long time to figure out). Click on that. Then the website link appears. Is there any option to change that to make it easier to find?

On the example, you can see that they got around this issue by putting the link within the “event description”. However, there doesn’t appear any way to create a hyperlink (or am I just not seeing it?). An alternative request would be to be able to create hyperlinks within that event description text box.

Hi there,

Sorry my confusion above. You can set which time format you wanted on the event's categories itself as you can see here http://take.ms/FrMQP. Please give it a try and see how it goes.

Question 4: Can we make the event website link easier to find?

Currently, it is how it behave actually. We will strip all html tag on it and it will not shown any html in it. The only way for it to shown is to head to events information to view those website link.

Thanks for your understanding.

I can't save my settings. I went to that page, made the changes, clicked save and I got this pop up message. I edited all the fields it would allow but it still wouldn't save.

HI there,

Currently i cant accessed your backend using given credentials but i suspected that you haven't included on of its mandatory item on this sections http://take.ms/4RnND. Maybe you can add them first and try to save again.

I can't seem to change anything. I tried simply adding the fields "Repeat" and "All Day" and I get the same message when trying to save the category.

I updated the login info so you can take a look.
