#1: login
#2: hover mouse on default profile picture (letter S)
#3: click on Upload picture
#4: select file (I tried multiple)
#5: click upload

Expected result: image uploaded
Error displayed instead: Unexpected token F in JSON at position 1
Furthermore, upon uploading the profile image from the backend, I get this intimidating error

Oh, you have to enable this iconv PHP extension from your PHP server, can you request with your webhosting provider to help you with this?

Advise to use a good CMS/WordPress/Joomla experienced hosting provider otherwise you will have numerous problems that is not Joomla Stackideas problems but a hosting problem

I am with these guys since 2007... have deployed hundreds of Joomla websites ever since... Not a newbie, but some requirements might not match. They told me that iconv is already up and running.
Here are the specs: https://pocketmoney.credit/info.php

From what I tested just now, it seems work fine for me when I upload avatar image from my profile page, you can watch my attached video file.

If the issue still persists, can you update your avatar image original file into your next reply so I can try upload your avatar image and see whether can replicate this?
