hello, i'm not sure why but..in write blog area all urls are pulled from origin server and not from cdn domain. all other easyblog links are working with cdn..except the write blog area.
can you please check that on my site!

btw. is the folowing cdn hack still needed in 3.9.1555?
http://stackideas.com/forums/enable-cdn-on-foundry-scripts-quick-hack
What plugins are you using to modify the urls of the script?

I'm using for all files the CDN Plugin from NoNumber. css, js and images files are loaded from a seperate cloudfront Distribution.

I don't think this will work because some of those scripts are being dynamically added asynchronously but i think you should try the hack on the other thread.

the problem is that all files for example css, js or images are not served from cdn on EB write blog area! if i go to latest blog, comments or whatever it works!?

Hm, I am not too sure about this. You should really check with nonumber because I believe what the plugin does, is that it will do a search and replace of all the contents that is available on the page.

right the plugin replace all content in the page..it works perfect..except on easyblog's write blog Page! so you think the nonumber plugin has a build-in error only for write blog page!? i don't believe this and Peter don't believe this also!

I am not too sure what you want me to do here but the system plugin from Nonumbers is a system plugin that replaces URLs on the page. What we have in EasyBlog is we add script tags on the page. If the URLs is not changed, I am not too sure what you really want me to do here. Perhaps if CDN for Joomla does not work on EasyBlog, you should try http://stackideas.com/forums/enable-cdn-on-foundry-scripts-quick-hack .

yes i know but the fact is that Joomla CDN Plugin works on all EB Links like Latest Blog or Dashboard but not in Write Blog Page..that is realy strange. Wich CDN Plugin did you use on EB Demo Page? (Free? Pro? Version Number?)

Joomla CDN works on EasyBlog but not on your write Blog Page! i'v added the Hack yesterday but it helps not to fix that issue...i guess this hack is not for css or image files wich are also not replaced on write blog page.

Hey guys,

I really have no idea why would you guys think that this is an EasyBlog issue just because it doesn't change the URLs on EasyBlog Write page? It is the duty and responsibility of the plugin to rewrite / change the URLs of the content on the page and this has nothing to do with EasyBlog at all.

I have spent the past 3 hours debugging the plugin which wasn't even written by us and found the cause of this. The CDN For Joomla plugin does not process on edit page, I have no idea why but this is the evidence http://screencast.com/t/XCfZzwHq .

To be frank with you guys, we are really sad to get blamed for something that has nothing to do with us simply because their scripts does not work.

sorry mark..but it was so strange that i couldn't imagine it's a plugin issue and Peter from NoNumber often wrote about similar issues we should not ask him and ask instead the other!

can you please report that issue with EditPage in CDN Pro Forum and ask why they added such Protect Code for EditPages?

a small success on my end.
relating to the loader.gif from ED & EB, i had do enable the option "Enable in Inline Scripts" in the CDN plugin.
components/com_easyblog/assets/images/loader.gif
components/com_easydiscuss/assets/images/loader.gif

@mark, it was never my intention to blame you or stackideas. for me it is the whole thing about CDN, browser-caching, gzip and all other options sometimes hard to understand ... like my user name already says ... totally noob

@Rene
i will do that. also i am interested on your site, maybe you can post me your website?

Guys, I am not trying to be arrogant or disrespectful but I would strongly advise you guys to try getting in touch with the person that invented / created the script / module / plugins / component / template first before coming to us. Now, this doesn't mean that we are trying to push the blame around but those stuffs that were not created by us, we really have no idea how it works. They know it better

Our promise is that, we will definitely try our best to assist you with anything and everything but we also have 24 hours a day and we can't be debugging every other extension issues because we just can't focus on our main development

Thank you for understanding and appreciate.

n00bster,

Welcome to the world of CDN, in fact I was facing this messed up Firefox issues with font's and it took me almost 3 days to figure out (I was stubborn and did not Google it up)

we appreciate your help also..and yes a focus on main development like EB 4.0 is great..of course after the next ES is Released However if your buisness grow then also the requests for assists or help with debugging will grow!

@Rene
here is the answer from peter about protected editpages:
This is so that CDN for Joomla! doesn't convert urls of file names/paths inside your article content.
For instance, if you have this in your article:
<img src="my/image.jpg">

You don't want CDN for Joomla! to change that to:
<img src="http://my.cdn.com/my/image.jpg">

while you are editing the article, as your edit form would save the cdn urls in the content to the database.

@n00bster

yeah thanks for sharing

i removed the lines 37-41 from cdnforjoomla.php and tried to add imes from media manager. so for me it works without issues on write blog page. but maybe it will effect other edit forms..yoo could try this also and give me feedback here.

I believe what Peter said makes sense because his script is rewriting URLs on the page output and it will definitely affect the content within your editor.
