Can't seem to get the category subscription link to appear. The blog is set to a single category in the Joomla menu. All the settings I can find are set to show the category subscription link but it doesn't show.

When I change the menu item type in Joomla to All Categories it then appears. I don't want this setting however because I will be having multiple blogs for different clients and each will be by invitation only.

Thanks,
Mike
Hi Michael,
There are a few places you can check to make sure no setting is preventing the subscription link to disappear.
Settings>Layout>Category>Show Category Heading+Show Subscribe
General>Subscriptions>Blog Subscriptions>Category Subscription
Categories>selectCategory>Post Options>Show Subscribe Link
EasyBlog Single Category menu item>Category>Show Category Heading+Show Subscribe

If you have configured these areas properly and the category subscription link still does not show, then perhaps you can provide us your backend access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can help you investigate and solve this issue.

Thanks Raymond!
"Show Category Heading" is what fixed it. I turned it on in the layout and left it set to inherit in the menu settings. Not sure why that is affecting it but glad it's fixed.

Tried to edit my previous reply a second time but it won't update. All I wanted to add is that I had to refresh the page several times with each setting change for it to show on the front end. Don't know if that's a problem with my browser or ?. Made it a little tougher to experiment with the settings.

Hey Michael,
You can try turning off the cache related settings temporarily in Joomla's Global Configuration or plugin while you experiment with the settings. You can also try on incognito/private browser sessions. If that doesn't solve your issue, then we would need your backend access to investigate this.

Thanks for the great suggestions. I had thought it might be the cache but hadn't considered using private browsing. I'll also try different browsers. I consider the problem I opened this ticket for solved. If I think the refresh issue is connected to Easyblog I'll open another ticket.
Thanks again,
Mike
