I have attached a screenshot of our category structure. Looking for advice.

So I add an art post for a merritt (community), member.
If I add it to the merritt artists category It show under that category only. Merritt artists.

1. What we need is for it to also show on the parent category, Merritt and british columbia.
2. We also need to have it displayed on the british columbia artists, and Canada artists page which are both currently Joomla articles.

So would it be best to convert the British Columbia page J article to an EB category, or use a module on the J article?
BC artists page is also a J Article.

This is a sample of just one community, there will be many. Looking for advice on best way to set this up to be clean and easy for members to add EB posts, and have them appear in the right areas.

Colin
Hey Colin,

Can you take a look of my following explanation and see whether I understand correctly with your current requirement?

So I add an art post for a merritt (community), member.
If I add it to the merritt artists category It show under that category only. Merritt artists.

1. What we need is for it to also show on the parent category, Merritt and british columbia.

1. Someone publish a new blog post under this category 'Merritt Artists'.

2. You would like to show this blog post when someone view on these single category page.
- Merritt
- British columbia

If that is the case, you have to make this blog post posted in multiple categories, so this blog post can able to show into multiple single category page.

2. We also need to have it displayed on the british columbia artists, and Canada artists page which are both currently Joomla articles.

So would it be best to convert the British Columbia page J article to an EB category, or use a module on the J article?
BC artists page is also a J Article.

I assume what you mentioned this is 2 categories right? e.g. British Columbia artists and Canada artists

So basically what you mean is you would like those Joomla article who posted into this 'British Columbia' category, move to Easyblog and make it under this 'British Columbia' Easyblog category?

Not really Arlex.
We have discussed the way our site works in depth in the past.
ehCanadatravel.com

Canada wide travel guide.
Lets forget about the canada page.

a fishing blog posted in a community by a member, ie. merritt fishing EB category, as per my structure attachment. Also need to automatically show on the British Columbia fishing page. (currently joomla article. )
https://www.ehcanadatravel.com/british-columbia/attractions/bc-fishing.html

So what do you suggest is the best way to display the merritt fishing post on this page?

It is important to note that:
- The Merritt Community is one of hundreds that will be added to EB.
- as per screenshot each community with same structure. 'Fishing' is just one of over 20 activities that will be blogged for each community.
- And there are 12 provinces in Canada. That makes 240 pages that need this functionality, or be converted to EB categories.

So what do you suggest,

1. convert the joomla articles to EB categories.
problem with this is asking members to click different EB categories throughout the structure makes it more difficult.

2. Use modules on all the pages to show the posts.
we then end up with hundreds of modules just to display EB posts.

3. Use tags in some way to display the merritt fishing post under british Columbia fishing

4. ideas?

Thanks Arlex

Sorry Colin, I still feel a little bit lost here.

Can I know what is this page URL http://take.ms/6nvAB ?

By right, if this blog post 'Twisted Turkey Products' posted under multiple categories e.g. (Merritt, Merritt Artists and British Columbia), this blog post should appear on these 3 categories single category page.

Is it now it doesn't show this blog post under this "British Columbia" single category page?

I think that is the only way to show those Easyblog 'Merritt fishing' post in this Joomla article page using module 'Easyblog - Latest blog post' (screenshot : http://take.ms/q0SBxu).
