Hello, I would like to remove some spacing above the Category Blog posts and have it show under the dropdown menu. I was able to move it up with css but the dropdown menu under groups was being covered, z-index did not resolve it.

I am sorry but I don't quite get you here. Can you please elaborate more and also include a screen shot of which are you referring to?
We are sorry but that part is not from Easyblog which you can see the screenshot shows part that covered by Easyblog: http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-11-07_1022.png . You might want to consult your template developer about this.
