Categories & Posting to Discussions Suddenly Broken

I have categories on the back end. I removed the Uncategorized category. Categories suddenly stopped appearing on the front end EXCEPT they are visible as selections when creating a new post.

When the new post is posted, it generates a 404 error.

The new post becomes visible in the Jomsocial stream.

Clicking the post link generates a 404 error.

This site needs to launch in two days. This was really unexpected. Can I get some help?

You got it now.

Yes, you can reinstall it. Will that wipe our settings / menus / jomsocial connectivity?
