I have changed the name of the "Uncategorized" category, not knowing this wasn't allowed. Now I have problems with showing the categories in the frontend. Via Joomla extension manager, I de-installed the easyblog file. After that I installed again the easyblog file. Now I have the same categories as in the beginning without the "Ungcategorized" cat. I don't know also with cat was the original one. What to do?

Hello Derk,

Hm, sorry but I don't really get you here. What issues are you having currently? You can delete the Uncategorized if you want, but you just need to set one of the category as the default category.

Thanks. Thats clear to me. So it isn't a problem deleting the original category "Uncatgorized". One of my new categories is the default one.

But still I don't see any category in the frontend "Blog categories", neither in the select list of choosing a category for a new blog. See attachment

Hello Derk,

You had not select superuser for Category Access in Backend > EasyBlog > Category > Your Catergory

I had select superuser and it is showing in the front end and the module.

Thanks for the quick response!

Now I've another question: when I will make a new message, you have another select list (right of the category select list) with which you can choose the kind of message. I assume the administrator can change this? But in the configuration/settings of Easyblog I can't find such a menu.

Hello Derk,

Sorry for the late reply. What you are referring to is the Type of posts. May I know what you are trying to change here? This is made for users to change when creating a post. Outside of the edit/create post page there isn't any other settings for this.

Hi,

When you will make an new message, there are two select lists (see attachments): one for selecting the category (left) and the other for selecting type of blog/message. In this example "citaat". My question is, can you change the content of the select list. When yes, where can you do this:) . If no, it's a pity. Then we have to live with i:( t.
