Hello Support

I am being inundated with spam users trying to register on my Site. I could have sworn that I saw a "Captcha plugin for ES" somewhere in the downloads section but I can not find it now. I have looked several times. Could someone please post me a link. Sorry for the inconvenience.

thanks

Paul
Hello Paul,

You meant "recaptcha"? They are installed by default. To add this into your registration form, go to Profile Types > [Click on the profile that you use] > Custom Fields. Drag and drop the Recaptcha field.

Then, go to Applications -> Recaptcha and set your api / private key

Hi Mark

I did as you instructed and every thing went fine. I wanted to test the process and the thing is the registration on the main community page seems to be a quick registration. I am lot lead through the registration steps 1,2 and 3. I must have changed something somewhere but have no idea what. I have looked under registration in settings but found nothing. Please advise!?!

thanks

Paul

Hello Paul,

It looks like there are some missing languages (Probably because you are using an older version) but i have changed it to full registration and the settings are available in Settings > Registration.

Hello Support

The "recaptcha" shows up twice during the registration process! Is that normal. Once would be enough. Towards the end rather than the beginning. I have looked here : Settings > Registration, as Mark advised but see nothing to set this?!? Thanks Mark as always.

I'd say that is not normal. The second time that it shows up, it does not require the user to fill it out.

Hi,

Go to backend -> EasySocial -> Profiles -> Select Profile -> Custom Field and click on the reCaptcha field that you've added in the form, this will load up the config panel.

Over here you can configure it to show up in which section. If you are redirecting the Quick registration to a Full registration page, then you shouldn't have to turn on the "View in Mini Registration".
