cant change avater on my profile page

Hi
Can you please assist me on this this issue. i can no longer changer the avatar on ma profile page. when i try to do that the system brings back the default easysocial avatar. it used to work but now it has stopped. it only workes when i go to edit profile page

i have posted a snapshot of what am talking about

I am sorry for the late reply.
After a long debug on your site it seems like it came from the file permission on your site. Here the screenshot:


I also have try to change the tmp folder permission from 755 to 775 via FTP but however, it didn't really help since it doesn't get change anything. Can you consult with your hosting provider to change the folder permission to 775 and see does it resolved the issue. Please do update us back on this issue.

I have changed all the permissions on the folders you asked but still the avatar goes back to the default page. am only able to upload thru the edit profile page

Hello Goodwin,

I am sorry for the late reply.
It seems like the file permission is still doesn't changed. You can check it here: Joomla > System > System Information > Directory Permission.


The reason why you cannot update profile picture is because of the system cannot use the tmp file to create the required profile images which are needed by the system for avatar. Can you consult again with your hosting provider to change these permission to writable? Please do update us back on this issue.
