Hi,

I just now tried to copy my api key twice from my account to my easyblog installation and run the updater, but it keeps telling me my api key is wrong.

is there sth else I could try?
kind regards,

Corine
Hello Corine,

I'm sorry that make you confusing of that Easyblog Updater, actually that updater only work from the version 3.9xxx update to 4.0xxx , if you update from 3.8xxx to 3.9xxx, that updater is not work. You have to go download the latest version of Easyblog from here http://stackideas.com/dashboard , then upload/install from your Joomla backend > Extension Manager
Hope this help.

Hello Corine,

You don't have to uninstall 3.8 first. Just install the latest version over it.

hmm, this is in contradiction to what I just found in this post:

http://stackideas.com/forums/can-t-update-easyblog

where Apsom adviced to do an uninstall first.....

so now I am confused :-)

so before I just install the newest 3.9xxx over my 3.8xxxx.... are you absolutely sure?

kind regards

Corine

Hello Corine,

You can choose either one actually. If you install over, it still replace the old file just like if you uninstall then install. You can just install over the old version.
