hey Richard,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

May i know how do you update your Joomla 3.3.0 to Joomla 3.4.3?

Because even the Joomla existing `discover` and `fix` button also can't work in your Joomla backend.

It seem like something messed up for the Joomla button script and your current database is not get updated, you can take a look of my attached screenshot.

Perhaps you can consult with your webhosting provider regarding this first?

Or setup another new Joomla site only prior for 3.4.3version then see is it hitting the same issue.

Keep us updated then.

You can change this from backend > Easyblog > settings > layout > post cover > Post Cover Settings (Listing)
Hope this help.

Ok - I can see what the problem is I think - 'Save' does not work?

I have tried to access in your Joomla backend , But it seems like you already delete that user account, can you create a new SuperAdmin user account for us? And FTP access as well.

Hey Richard,

Can you try access your PHPMYADMIN > find this table `#__easyblog_configs` > edit `config` row (screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/dMJGppm0AK) > search `easyblog_environment` > temporary change optimized to static , and see how it goes? Keep us update regarding this.

Hi

I am quite worried now with progress

I cannot save settings on my EasyBlog - so showcase images are very large.

i have given you full access to Joomla, FTP and Cpanel

You have switched easyblog into developer mode 12 or more hours ago - cannot see any more progress?

i wanted to take this website live on Monday but since updating form 3.x to 5.x i am having problems and the images are not displayed properly. (This is a big issue for us as we have other developers ready to connect our apps etc to the new site. )

Can you please take a look (I guess you may be closed over the weekend)

Thank you for your help.

Regards

Richard

Hey Richard,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we are currently having a Joomla conference here in Malaysia and most of the team are involved in the preparation.

I am still investigate on this issue, because this issue we didn't receive any user report this.

May i know before 3.9 version is under which Joomla version?

Then after that what is the step to you use when you trying upgrade from 3.9 to 5.x before?

By the way, I have temporary manually update the post image crop setting from this table -> `xefg8_easyblog_configs` > update the `cover_crop` to 1 , you can check my attached screenshot below.

The result is shown: http://screencast.com/t/tCBtNHDz

Thank you for the reply which is appreciated.

I have not updated Joomla since upgrading from 3.9 EB 5.0.20 - Joomla 3.4.3

Just to let you know - no settings will save.

To upgrade I tried two methods

First 'Installation from Network' - did not get past 45%

Second 'Installation via Directory' - did not get past 45%

Then you guys fixed and installed for me.

Arlex,
I'm having the same issue. I tried to follow the instructions you provided on this forum (http://stackideas.com/forums/upgrade-to-5-fails-stuck-on-45#reply-216613), but I didn't know where to apply the code. Could you please help? I do not want to lose my previous blog posts!!! I've provided my site details to this post.

Thank you,
Edmund.

Hi

We have now deployed the Joomla 3.x website with EasyBlog to

iFootpath.com

(not J3.ifootpath.com)

Same login details - it would be great if you could now look at and fix the 'Save settings' issue.....

Many thanks
