Hi there,

When I'm trying to directly access the photo url as example below, the following error message will appear, http://screencast.com/t/BjDn6GT35r .
http://hero.jskill.com/media/com_easysocial/photos/40/49/lubu2_thumbnail.jpg

Can I have your FTP as well so we can check the permission level of folder /media/com_easysocial/photos/ ?

FPT detail updated.
FYI, I'm using symbolic links between my two sites:
jskill.com/media/com_easysocial/photos
hero.jskill.com/media/com_easysocial/photos

To use the same images for 2 sites. I added the user to groups in Apache already.

Thanks,
Giang Anh

Hi there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as we have been overwhelmed with the support recently since the release of easysocial 1.4.

Ah I see. It seems like you are using mighty sites extension and the photo are actually referred back to your original site which is jskill.com instead of hero.jskill.com. For example the following image url are accessible under jskill.com but not hero.jskill.com http://jskill.com/media/com_easysocial/photos/40/49/lubu2_thumbnail.jpg .

To fix this, I've applied some temporary hack inside your /administrator/components/com_easysocial/tables/photos.php at line 1494 where it will use the domain from jskill.com instead of hero.jskill.com and it should be working fine for now. Please have a look.

Hi,

Actually I made the symbolic links between my two sites:
jskill.com/media/com_easysocial/photos
hero.jskill.com/media/com_easysocial/photos

Then I added hero users to the jskill group so that I can read the files there.
So they both use the files in jskill.com site. So I think we don't really need the hack. Is there any other solution?

Thanks,
Giang Anh

Hey Legiang,

Currently it's not possible to read off file info from a symlinked file and I think this is the problem actually
