Hello there,
I'm trying to install easyblog component (com_easyblog_3.9.15370_paid_j2.5) on my test site (which is running 3.2.2 Joomla version).
I've noticed the "2.5" in filename, but I cant find a way to get the 3.x version of it.
As i try to install it through "Upload package File", i get this error: "Error There was an error uploading this file to the server."
I have no problem in uploading and installing other modules or components, so, I guess there's something wrong specifically with this component.
I already checked your documentation and forums, but cant find a proper solution to this issue.
Looking forward for your answer.
Kind regads,
MDL
Hello Matteo,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. It is most likely that you have hit the "upload limit" which most hosting providers has set to 2mb only. Since the installer is larger than 2mb, you are probably hitting the similar errors. What you can try to do is to contact your hosting provider to lift the limit of upload_max_filesize to 8mb or larger in the php.ini but it would be ideal to be somewhere around 8mb since this also affects anything that is uploaded via PHP scripts.

If your hosting provider wouldn't want to help you out, can you pass me the back end Joomla access and the FTP access so that I can perform a manual installation for you instead?

Hello Mark,
thank you very much for your quick answer (no delay at all, actually ).
I managed to edit the php.ini, lifting the max_upload_size as suggested; the installation went smooth and flawless.
Kinda weird I forgot to check that.
Thank you again.
