Hi,

for some reason I cannot add images to my blogs via the editor. I can add a cover image without problem but cannot insert images I upload. When I do this process the editor does not show the image and when I look at the article on the front end it doesn't display there either. However, if I look at the source code it shows the inserted image code.

Additionally, when in the editor mode my screen is jumpy - the text/icons have a delay loading, including when saving.

I thought it may have been an issue with JCH Optimize but I have since disabled this, ckeared cache, browser cache etc. and the problem is still there.

When I inspect the console errors in Chrome I see this:

Failed to decode downloaded font: https://www.mysite.com/media/com_easyblog/fonts/heebo-latin-regular.woff2
VM2836 composer?tmpl=component&uid=3833&return=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubGlua3Rvc2FsZS5jb20uYXUvbGF0ZXN0L2toa2poams=:1 OTS parsing error: invalid version tag

I also tried embedding a youtube random video and this seems to work, so it seems to be just the images it doesn't like.

Any idea what it might be? I did add the following code to my htaccess which I found on here (as trying to speed up my site) :

AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/text
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/plain
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/xml
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/css
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/xml
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/xhtml+xml
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/rss+xml
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/javascript
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE application/x-javascript
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/javascript

I am on EasyApache4 with Centos 6 with OpCache (I don't know if that is relevant).

Kind regards

Mel
It seems like I can replicate this issue in my locally, I already applied some temporary fix into your site, it should work fine now.

JoomlaFolder/components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/composer/media/panels/image.php

Can you give it a check?

Hi Arlex,

my apologies,

I switched access off over night. It should work now. I have xtexplorer so that should allow access to the files?

Kind regards

Mel

Thanks, I can able to login from your site now.

It seems like it work fine for me when i upload one of the image and I can able to insert that image into the blog content.

You can watch my video here : http://take.ms/ZbRXh

Perhaps you can attach those image file from your next reply which you unable to upload into Easyblog media manager so I can try replicate this into your site.

Regarding that video missing that embed word, I will log this issue into our issue tracker.

Hi Arlex,

I have just created a new entry called Test, used the quick post via front end and it does indeed insert an image. Then I clicked on edit the blog and the image doesn't show in the content area of the blog. I then tried to insert a second image whilst in the edit blog and that seems to be when my issue occurs.

Can you try inserting a new image by editing the article and see if it also happens with you?

Hi Mel,
used the quick post via front end and it does indeed insert an image. Then I clicked on edit the blog and the image doesn't show in the content area of the blog.
The image from the quick post should display as the post cover(http://take.ms/w7p2r) so it would not be in the content area.
Can you try inserting a new image by editing the article and see if it also happens with you?
I have tested this locally and could not replicate it.

I would like to test this again on your site but I am not able to access the site again(http://take.ms/3dlZW). Please advice. Thanks.

Hi Raymond,

Access is now enabled - I always deactivate access over night for security reasons

Yes I have tried editing the content and adding an image in the content area (tried both adding media - uploading image, select image insert, also using the image tool in the editor) but it doesn't like either. The cover images have always worked fine. If you click on the latest post (it is a test post anyway) and try to add an image you should hopefully see what I mean.

Hey Mel,

My concern is that sometimes modifying files may render both the backend and frontend unusable. If that's the case, I would not be able to access back extplorer since the backend cannot be loaded.

Hi Arlex.

PERFECT!

It now works - both inserting content using Media and also using the image icon in the toolbar.

Thank you so much
