Hi,
I cannot insert an uploaded image into a post. Pls. see screenshot. I also recognize the message "Javascript void" in the lower left corner.

Thanks
Hey Alex,

Ah, that insert image link should only be rendered when using bbcode editor. If you are using a WYSIWYG editor, it doesn't make sense to have that link.

I am using JCE.

Any chance to enable this feature in JCE? I like the idea to insert an attached image into a post. I think its a very usefull feature.

Hey Alex,

Hm, if you are using JCE, it already has it's own media manager so this would actually defeat the purpose eh? JCE is a WYSIWYG editor while bbcode isn't.

This is actually why the "Insert" link is added for bbcode because this allows the poster to almost get a WYSIWYG feel by placing images on places that they want

OK, maybe I missunderstood something:

What I would like to do is to have a functionality that users can upload an image from there desktop or whereever and insert that right into the posting to show it to other users.

When I add the feature: "insert/edit image" from JCE, then it lets EVERY user insert images from the Joomla installation, which definitely shall not be allowed....

I only want that users can show attached images right in the post, instead of just attaching it to the post.

I think that could be configured within JCE's ACL settings where you could restrict what the user sees in the media.

OK - back to the start. Instead of using JCE - How can I activate the BBCode Editor?
I cant find that in the Joomla global configuration.
