I wanted to insert a picture in an ED post but could not figure out how it worked. I have the picture button on the text toolbar.

The only way seems to be to attach it.

Is this correct?

Or how do you?

Thx.

In KL May 23-25th...
I downloaded the JCE package and tried to install via joomla backend. I got the following message:

SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'riskoracle.ro_wf_profiles' doesn't exist

Any suggestions?

The only JCE thing I see is Fields - Media JCE should I uninstall this and then reinstall the JCE package.

I see JCE is using ED for their forum!

Thx

Hi Jason,

I believe you can insert the url source of the image there.

But there are also other ways to insert images(http://take.ms/Q64YC). 2 buttons in tinymce and EasyDiscuss also have a native file attachment button just like our forums.

When you use the 1 button available (I cannot find the 2nd button you have) in tinymce the screen says I must put a URL. I dont see how I can drop a picture into the update easily from say my PC.

Attaching no problem.

Thx

Hey Jason,

Based on TinyMCE's code, it appears that the button is only available for users that have backend access and Joomla article creation/edit permission.

Thx.

How do I then insert a photo inside a ED item rather than as an attachment.

Hey Jason,

It is possible to insert url images, but unfortunately, local images cannot be embedded in TinyMCE.

Perhaps you can try out JCE Editor since it has an upload image button: http://take.ms/weEuk, http://take.ms/WrRpv

Hey Jason,

I'm not really sure why that issue occured during installing but I have helped you add back the table and installed JCE.

Can you help me double check again?
