Hi, just creating a page, tried to add a photo as a cover photo iphone and the Upload button didn’t work.
Hi there,

Hi Warith, thanks. Have updated my template and EB and still have the same issue. This is a persistent and annoying issue - it means that users can't add pages on ipads and iphones using Safari (probably the most commonly used browser on these devices) so I'd like to fix it asap.

It seems that your customization cuased this issues i also cannot create them using web browser itself. I have made some changes on this path .../templates/ja_obelisk/html/com_easyblog/toolbar/default.php and should redirect correctly now.

As mentioned above, and I just checked again, the Upload button does work on iphone/ipad on other browsers (eg. Firefox/Chrome) but not on Safari. When I click the button, nothing happens, and when I hold it down, a dialog box opens with "Javascript <br> Open". When I click Open, nothing happens.

It seems that your customization also caused this issues to happen. I have made temporary fixes and should works fine now.
.../templates/ja_obelisk/html/com_easyblog/composer/toolbar/cover.php

On your custom.css files
/*Custom css fixes*/
#eb .eb-comp-cover-area .moxie-shim {
width: 100% !important;
}

Just checked your video and it does show it working on EB on Safari on an iphone. Can I ask though, when you took the video - did you operate this via the iphone or using a cursor on your computer?

I am using my own mobile, that is Iphone 5s recorded using screen capture that is built in on latest IOS.

Please give it a check and see how it goes.

Could you upload the cover photo that you are trying to upload here? Also, how big is the cover photo?

Hi Mark,

Sorry, should have been more specific, the problem's not related to the photo.

When I click the Upload button on my phone, nothing happens. When I hold the Upload button, I get a dialog "Javascript - Open / Cancel"..

Thanks Fadhli, this issue happens on an iphone. Not on a laptop. Can you try from an iphone?

Cheers, David

Hi Warith, sorry. Bit of mis-communication here, I created this thread in Easyblog but should have specified. I'm trying to upload a cover photo for a new page on Easyblog. I see you added a cover photo on Easysocial - can you try add a cover photo to a page on Easyblog on your iPhone in Safari?

Cheers, David

Hi there,

Oh, sorry for the confusion on my above reply. By the way, it seems that something is wrong on your site and i can replicate them. It would be best if you can provide us with your FTP access for further check on this issues.

Please advice.

Hi Warith, just read the update on EB 5.2 and realised the upload image issue is still live. Seems it's just an issue on my ipad/iphone on Safari (it works on Firefox and Chrome on my iphone).

This is an issue I'd had previously and the fix was meant to be added to EB going forward, maybe this did not occur. See this link

Can you try add a cover pic (tap Cover Photo > Upload) on Safari on an ipad/iphone?

Cheers, David

Hi there,

For your information, this issues already fixed and included on Easyblog v5.1.10. I again re-tested them again, using my iphone5s as attached below and everything seems to work fine on my end.

Please advice.
