Cannot add a Map location to any new posts.
The old ones still show but when you try to add a new one it never loads in the post (just shows blue) and nothing shows on the front end.
This just started happening after the last update (5.1.12)
Hi there,

Have you made sure that the APIs for Google Maps mentioned in this documentation is enabled in your Google Console?

If you have done that and the location still does not work, can you provide us your backend for the site and Google Console access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can investigate further?

Let us know, thanks.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is holidays for us here.

It seems like Google response this when add new location in Easyblog.

"This API project is not authorized to use this API. Please ensure this API is activated in the Google Developers Console: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/geocoding_backend?project=_"

Can you try follow my instruction to add a new Google Map API key and see how it goes?

1. Go to this page -> https://console.developers.google.com/iam-admin/projects
2. Create project and check my video here : http://screencast.com/t/xnfoJH8vx
3. This is the page for activate the APIs key -> https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

Didn't work...what I don't understand is why the old maps are still working but no new ones can be created.

To be honestly, I also can't give the correct answer regarding this is because that response is actually Google return to you based on your current API key, it might be Google change their API recently or what, we doesn't know about it.

By the way, since you said you unable to make it work when you follow my instruction at above, I already replace to use my Google Map API key, you should able to get this location work now, you can watch my video here : http://take.ms/EfjoH

Do note : if you use "auto detect" feature, you have to make sure you access your website with https protocol, because Google already announced this auto detect location feature only available for https site.

Hope this will help.

You are most welcome. By the way, we are frustrated too with the recent changes that Google made on their API as it is causing a lot of problems not only to EasyBlog but a wide variety of apps

If you perform a search on "This API project is not authorized to use this API. Please ensure this API is activated in the Google Developers Console", you'll see over a million search results
