This may be a simple answer and a dumb question, but how does a user, on the front end go about canceling a subscription to a plan in PayPlans? All I can see on the frontend is the Upgrade button.

James
Hey James,

Sorry for the delayed response.

If payment gateway supports recurring cancellation then user will find the cancellation link at Dashboard->Subscription-> click on More link.

I've checked your site and found that you are using stripe and paypal payment method.
In Stripe app configuration you already enabled this option " Allow Recurring Billing Cancellation", so in frontend payplans user dashboard, user will be able to see the cancel recurring subscription along with their subscription.
see attached screenshot for example.

In case of Paypal, user/merchant need to cancel their recurring payment into from their paypal Account itself.
Because Paypal api don't provide this functionality to cancel recurring subscription from site itself.

Let me know if you have any query.

Thank you Karanveer.

Can you tell me what workflow is followed when a user chooses a payment method that does not support subscriptions? For example, if they pay via BitPay or Offline Payment?

My assumption would be that they would receive a notification if it is created and they would be presented with a Renew option? But, I haven't seen any renew options when forcing plan expirations.

Thank you,
James

Cancellation option if for recurring plans only as fixed one is one time payment only.

I case offline payment there is option to allow cancel recurring payment.
See here : https://stackideas.com/docs/payplans/administrators/payment-methods/offline-payment

If you want to send notification for renewal then you need to use Notification email rule as mentioned below.
https://stackideas.com/docs/payplans/administrators/notifications/notification-rules

For renewal option you need to create Renewal app.
See here : https://stackideas.com/docs/payplans/administrators/plans/plan-renewals

Update us if you have any queries.
