Hi,

please note that in Germany we now have a new law.

The "Act on Fair Consumer Contracts" prescribes the so-called cancellation button from July 1, 2022.
If you can conclude a fee-based contract with a term on a website, it must also be possible to cancel it online via a so-called cancellation button.
There are legal requirements for the design of the cancellation button.

Is there an option within current version of PayPlans to enable/activate such a button ????
Because this is now mandatory.

Please find below the translation from the official webpage in Germany about this new law:

There are clear legal requirements for the design of the cancellation button in accordance with Section 312 k of the new version of the German Civil Code. It must be a clearly designed button that says "Cancel Contracts Here" or has equivalent clear wording. This must lead to a confirmation page where you can provide specific information about the contract you wish to cancel. It must then be possible to terminate the termination using a clearly marked confirmation button, for example with the note "terminate now" or an equally clear wording.

Both the buttons for initiating the cancellation process and the button for submitting the cancellation must be permanently available and easily accessible. For example, it may not be necessary to register on the website. Finally, consumers must be given the opportunity to save the termination made via the website or app.

Hi Markus,

The cancel button is already showing on PayPlans when users are subscribed to recurring plans(attached). Is this what is required?

Hi Raymond,
thanks for the fast reply.....much appreciated.

This is indeed the required 'cancellation button' as per the new law since it is directly/easily accessible.

Sorry for the question but we are still in project mode and setup process.

Thanks
Markus
