I have selected a variety of the Social Buttons to display on my blogs but only two are actually displaying. I am not sure if this just happened now when I upgraded to EasyBlog 5.1.5 or if this was happening before.

I have selected the Social Buttons Type of Respective Social Networking Sites.

I have selected Button Size of Large Buttons.

I have selected Most of the Social Networking buttons to display.
Hello Sean,

I tried to check your site and these social buttons does seem to be appearing fine for me as you can see here, http://take.ms/Pqa0w

Thanks Mark,

That is very interesting. I thought maybe the difference was something to do with the cache after upgrading. So, I deleted the cache from Chrome and restarted it. Then I went to a blog page and basically saw the same thing that you are seeing. After that I thought I would login from the front end to see if anything changed. And, voila.. most of those icons immediately disappeared. I then tried to Sign Out (also from the front end) but then see an error "javascript:void(0);"

I then tried doing the exact same thing but this time using Firefox as the browser. And the same thing happened. After I login from the front end then only the Twitter and Pinterest icons show up. Before that many icons show up.

So, I of course am thinking this might be a bug and not a feature? :-)

Please try that out and see if it happens to you as well.

There seems to be an error on all pages on your site, http://take.ms/FthSX . Not sure this is being generated by which plugin but it probably disrupted EasyBlog since EasyBlog 5.1 by default now uses jQuery from Joomla.

If there was a script that breaks Joomla's jQuery, then EasyBlog would fail too. Thus, resulting in these social buttons to not appear.

The quickest way to fix this is to configure EasyBlog so that it renders it's own jQuery version, http://take.ms/rgEqm . I have configured this for you and they are appearing fine now when being logged in.

Thank you very much for doing this. I guess the best solution would be for me to figure out which script is causing this error. But, what you did certainly also takes care of the problem.

How would you suggest I figure out which script has caused this problem so that we can use the Joomla jquery instead?

Thank you, Sean

Hello Sean,

It is a little tricky as you need to unpublish your plugins one by one and try to see if there are still any errors in your console. This is what we do when we encounter issues like this.

Thanks. For now I am just using your easy fix but hopefully can put the time in soon to fix this issue properly.

Your help has been greatly appreciated.
