Hello,

A couple of days ago I upgraded easyblog to version 3.9.16263 on a Joomla 3.3.1 website. Today I find that posts I've added from the Joomla front end are not showing up in the Joomla back end.

These posts are in the "Blog" category. The Joomla home page is set to a category blog, where the category is "Blog." I can see posts at the front end, in the "Blog" category, from both before the EasyBlog upgrade and from today (post upgrade). However in the Joomla back end, listing all blog posts, I'm just not seeing ANY posts in the "Blog" category.

A clue is, when I started looking into this issue, in the list of EasyBlog categories, I had NO category named "Blog." So I added one, hoping this would allow posts in the "Blog" category to appear in the back end list of blog entries. It did not help.

My website is http://protostar.moorepix.com. It's a test website. From the home page you can see that I'm displaying blog posts in category "Blog." However I can't find these posts in the Joomla back end.

Here is a screenshot of the back end list of blog posts: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fuux3o5x6vlf1ic/easyblog-blog-entries.JPG
You can see that it's set to show posts of all categories.

I've not been using EasyBlog for a while, so I can't remember if I noticed this problem before I upgraded EasyBlog. I don't remember if "Blog" was a category before I upgraded, or if that was the category I chose for my home page. However, I find it strange that if I go back to the home page settings, I may choose from only two categories (Blog and uncategorized), while I have about five categories for my blog posts set up at the website. See this screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ui71847vga05pls/easyblog-only-two-categories.png

Any help you can give would be appreciated. Let me know if you would like me to set up a user account for you to log in to.

Cheers,
Carol
Hello Carol,

Can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue here? It would be easier for to check and identify the issue.

Hi Nick,

Thank you for offering to have a look. I have created you a super admin account and described it in the site details so you may log in to the back end. Note I have jSecureLite installed so there's a keyword that must be appended to the admin URL.

I'm working with my web host tech support to set you up an FTP account that you may use. I'll let you know when I have that set up.

Cheers,
Carol

I got the FTP account sorted out. See site details below.

The account root is the document root of the website, so you won't accidentally land on the wrong website. Let me know how it goes Nick.

Hello Carol,

Did you mean this article: http://screencast.com/t/3yyqaILaA6h ? It is actually a Joomla's article. It is not Easyblog's post. You can see the article in the backend: Backend>Content>Article Manager http://screencast.com/t/I3RszKpa0K . To create Easyblog post, you can go to backend and write a new post via this button: http://screencast.com/t/f92ga9evGm . I've created a test post in Easyblog under 'Blog' category. Please have a look.

Hi Nick,

Well, getting mixed up between blog posts and articles in a "blog" category would explain my confusion. Thanks so much for figuring it out for me. I don't feel *too* dumb because it has been six months since I tried out EasyBlog for a different client.

Thanks also for your FAST response!
