Can't upload WEBP image to EasySocial

Hello. Is it normal that WEBP format images can't be uploaded to EasySocial?
I use "Image Processor: GD Library".

Yes, currently it is not supported WebP image extension yet, but I will log into issue tracker.

this WebP "Added ability to support webp images" change the size of my Akeeba storage file with about +20%!

You can imagine how important this will be in future.

Thks for finally adding it... It also make ES loading faster I guess bcs latest update make ES very fast..
