I'm trying to upgrade my EasyBlog version from Installed version: 3.5.12201 Latest available version: 3.9.15218 But I'm getting the following error:

Starting upgrade process ...
Downloading patch files ...
Error Please enter the correct API key. You may generate it from http://stackideas.com/account/my-account.html ...

The API Key is the same as before and I renewed my subscription already? Why can't I use the updater within EasyBlog to update it???? So frustrating!
Hello Tony,

I am really sorry for the inconveniences caused. Upgrading from EasyBlog 3.8.x or older to 3.9.x requires a full uninstall / installation. The reason is because there are some core files which were modified in this release and running the updater would actually break things.

Rest assured that your data would not get erased when you perform an uninstall. Theme files and other core files would however get erased, so if you have made any modifications, it's best to make a backup of the modifications first.
