I just purchased EasyBlog and it won't install either using Upload Package File or Install From Directory (I uploaded the zip file to the foider /tmp/easyblog) - see attached screenshots. I have download the package again in case it was corrupted and retried but with the same result.

This is on a Joomla 2.5.19 site (PHP 5.2.17)

Please advise how I can resolve this.

This is odd. Can you provide us with the Joomla back end access as well as the FTP access so that I can check on the issues on your site?
We actually need these information so that we can debug on your issues quickly. If your site is hosted locally, could you please upload it to a temporary location for us to access?

I believe that your site doesn't met Easyblog minimum requirement. You can refer it here: http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/installation/system-requirements .

Please check your site and hopefully can meet the recommended requirement.

May i know which link you would like us to remove it immediately?

Could you mind request with your Webhosting provider to help you increase this few value to be higher? After your Webhosting provider help you done it , it should upload/install work fine. Check my screenshot which you should consult to your Webhosting provider :

-> memory_limit = 128MB (Recommended)

I don't want any of this thread open to the public, but particular as it's exposed the admin URL of the site. I was under the impression that this was a private support conversation.

I've contacted the hosting provider and asked them to increase the limits.

This is resolved now thanks. However your minimum requirements need changing i.e. upload_max_filesize = 5M needs to be higher as the current component package size is 6.9Mb
