Can't insert image

I'm trying to insert an image into a blog post. Insert Media finds the image (JPG) but after the insert shows only the broken icon. What could be wrong here?
I think I figured it out. There was something about the particular jpg file it didn't like (we've been able to insert other jpg images). It wasn't the image size. I converted it to png and it worked.
