Hi, I'm having trouble getting the RSS feed for a category on my EasyDiscuss forum to work. When I click the "Subscribe via RSS" link it takes me to a page with a lot of code (http://enoughabuse.org/index.php/trainers-discussion/index?format=feed&type=rss) but when I enter that URL into an RSS reader it says it can't find the feed. When I go to check a feed validator it says that it's not actually a feed at all, it's a web page. That being said, when I tried to subscribe to the feed using Internet Explorer it did display as a feed originally but when I went to 'look' at my subscription it said it didn't support DTDs. (Not sure if related/helpful.)
Also, if it makes a difference the discussion forum is only view-able by registered members.
Thanks!
Hello,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I took a quick look at your site and it seems like the "trainer-discussion" menu item is private. is your category private? I will need your backend access to solve your issue. Please advice.

Thanks!

Hello,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have confirmed your issue. It is because the only EasyDiscuss pages are in a private menu. You will need to create a menu item which is public so that the RSS will work. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Ok, in that case my next question is there a way to hide/remove the "subscribe via RSS" link? I can't see to find a way to do it...

Hello,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. You can actually do this in backend -> EasyDiscuss -> Settings -> General -> Workflow. Here disable "Enable RSS". Also, please understand that your subscription has already expired. In order for you to continue receiving priority support, please consider renewing your subscription. Hope this helps.

Thanks!
