Hi there, I am just getting started with EasyDiscuss and am trying to figure out how to let Registered Users add new tags. I see in the changelog that there is a new ACL feature that should enable that. However, when I go in the ACL panel, I cannot find an option to set this.

The only option showing is "Insert Tags", but nothing re creating tag rights.

I did update to the latest release earlier and there were no issues except for one, which complained about copying files for the Bubbles template. This template is not showing in the Template list any longer.

So AFAIK, the ACL feature for the Tags should be in here somewhere.

Appreciate any help! Thanks
Hey Hans,

When you upgraded EasyDiscuss, it should actually insert the new rules for you. Was this an upgrade or a new installation?

Hi Mark, I installed the prior version yesterday with the Full Installer zip that I downloaded. The updated version was installed today from the extensions / manage / update page, the same way I update other packages.

As mentioned, the "Package Install was successful" except for the error message about a folder problem with Bubbles template files, which no longer shows in the list.

FYI

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

If you update from backend / extensions / manage / update , then it show "Package Install was successful" this success message, what happen when you access your backend Easydiscuss page?

By the way, can you try upload full installer from your site backend > extension > install , once he uploaded successfully, then click perform installation until complete and see that `create tag` new ACL rules did installed?

If no, can you update your site backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check?

Hi Arlex, the issue was solved by downloading the 4.1.3 package and installing it over the prior 4.1.3 update I had done. The ACL feature to add tags is now there and I verified that it works by editing an existing post.

As an aside, I want to let you know that Easy Discuss is just a terrific piece of software and functionality. I had started to explore Joomla forums options with the Kunena package. Your Easy Discuss package is sooo much better for someone who is looking for easy ways to set up a forum and customize it in detail, but still keeping it understandable for the administrator.

I'm very pleased with it and think this was just what I needed for my site.

I will open another ticket about badges, where I messed things up due to user error. I hope you will have some suggestions there, but no biggie.

Thanks
