Hello,

We are trying to modify one of the email templates, but cannot find the corresponding file. The email contents includes "New post in (group name)" at the top of the message and then contains the text "This is a notification to inform you that (user) posted in the group (group name)"

The language variable that contains the second set of text is: COM_EASYSOCIAL_EMAILS_GROUP_NEW_POST_CONTENT

Searching through the entire directory of email templates does not show any template file using that variable.

Can you tell me which template file is producing that notification email?
Hey Meagan,

Some of the e-mail templates are located in the app as we were initially trying to make it as modular as possible but we are slowly trying to move back everything into the core (for our own apps) as it seems like it is confusing for end users / system integrators to understand.

Anyhow, the file that you are looking for is located in /media/com_easysocial/apps/group/story/themes/default/emails/new.post.php

Thanks Mark. Moving them back to the overall template folder would be better. But in this instance what is the procedure for creating overrides?

Hey Meagan,

It should be placed in /templates/JOOMLA_TEMPLATE/htm/com_easysocial/apps/group/story/emails/new.post.php
