Can't disable Komento

I installed a Template Monster template (#50489) which had Komento pre-installed. My install won't need Komento, so I'm trying to remove it.

1) First, I tried to go into Komento integrations, and click on "Joomla Article". Then I clicked "Enable Comments: NO" But the little comment icon still appeared in the metadata area above each article. It isn't clickable, but it is still there. So, next, I tried...
2) I went into Extensions => Manage, and located all Komento items and disabled them. But that broke my site... bad. I get this error: Fatal error: Class 'Komento' not found.

So, how do I get rid of Komento?

Hi Geoff,

Can you provide us with backend access and FTP access so that we can assist you fixing this issue.

Hi Geoff,

I am sorry for the delayed reply.
I have checked your site and it seems like when I fully disable komento, your template is hitting this error:
Fatal error: Class 'Komento' not found in /../seiincj3.org/html/templates/sei-j3/html/com_content/category/blog_item.php on line 158
I can't access to your FTP to further investigate. However, I believe your template is hard-coded Komento component into it. Can you consult this issue with your template provider and please do update us back.

By the way, you can fully disable Komento through Extension Manager > Manage > (search komento) > unpublished.
