I can't change my avatar in the Author section of EasyBlog 5. I’m not using any 3rd party integrations that I'm aware of. It used to work right and then, yes, I changed a bunch of settings and some might have been in the integration section. I just don’t know what and I don't know where to look. What dictates whether you can change your avatar? Got any clues to what I might have changed?
Hi William,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Can you check your setting at backend > easyblog > ACL > choose your usergroup > profile, http://screencast.com/t/QNkUHKoQEi and see how it goes? If the issue still persist kindly provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly.

Please advise.

I'm the Super User with all permissions. I can't change my avatar and it's not showing up at all. I can create you a Super User but how do you want me to get you that information. I'm not comfortable with posting that in a forum.

I added another Super User and strangely the new one will allow me to change the avatar on it. Here is a screenshot. The login details are in the site details.

Frankly I'm not sure what that is. My hosting? Anything that was changed would have been in my administrator so I'm not sure why that's necessary.

FTP stands for file transfer protocol. This allows you to upload and download files from the web server. If you can provide us with your FTP account, so we can modify the Easyblog file and troubleshoot on this.

Actually, I checked the demo on stack ideas and that's just the way it is (avatar and name -vintage theme). My original user still doesn't have an avatar but I'll just switch authors as a workaround when I post.

I turned the user off. I'm fine with this not being fixed knowing I can switch authors. I consider this matter resolved. Thanks for your support.

The issue is that there seems to be no way to change/customize the author Avatar. On the old version there was a button to add a picture (easy and good), in this version, there is no button to add the avatar image (terrible). The "solution" provided earlier to this forum post may work ok for a site with one user, but doesn't work for our sites with many users and authors. Sorry, I don't have time to generate a new ticket now.

Hey Adam,

Did you configure EasyBlog to use the built in avatars? If it was configured to use a different avatar source, then the upload file would not appear. This is how it should look like when you edit an author's account, http://screencast.com/t/BZOVWoIZyy

Maybe we are on to something :-) Where is the configuration to use built in Avatars? We did not adjust any default settings... Screenshot attached.

Thanks for the heads up on this Adam. Hm, this is strange, by default the avatars should be enabled by default. Is this a new installation or was this an upgrade from an older version?
