As a devotee of EasyBlog, am trying EasySocial and EasyDiscuss. With EasySocial, the selection of themes is limited to just two. When I toggle back and forth between them in the control panel, the front end doesn't change. It's still stuck in "wireframe." I hope to get your help with fixing this because I'm going to have to pick a theme and then hack it to get close to the nice green theme I'm using for EasyBlog. And the same will have to be done for EasyDiscuss, I imagine.
Thanks,
-Jim Gribble
Hello Jim,

There's a feature in EasySocial where you can assign different themes to different profiles. You need to edit the profile and select the theme for your profile. Please take a look at my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/xCaXfQyZ5

Hello again,
I did manage to change to the "dark" theme, which I kind of like because it looks close to the theme I selected for EasyBlog. I will have to edit the CSS to get exactly what I want.
The problem is, all the icons in the toolbar became invisible. The links are still there and active, but you can't see the icons because they went to white and the light blue background did not change. Is it supposed to go to black? I kind of figure that's what's going on. Would you be willing to take a quick look?
You have to log in here because network access is registered:

Hello,

It looks like it's probably T3 is caching it. You should only activate the cache / compression when you are ready

Mark, it must have been a cache issue because I can see the icons now. I have optimize/compress css files enabled in the template parameters (screenshot attached). Should I disable this while I develop the site? I did set the Joomla global settings to no cache. Not sure what you mean by "when you are ready."
As a side note, I will be doctoring the CSS to go to the dark greens which are the signature colors of this new site. I'm wondering why the toolbar is always blue regardless of whether you pick the "dark" or "wireframe" CSS. Is the toolbar in a separate stylesheet? Could you possibly direct me to the approximate location? Your coding is very elegant but I can't use it as is. I'm going to have the same issue with EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss. Even Firebug fails me at times in figuring out your scheme.
Thanks as always,
-Jim G.

Hello Jim,

Ah, it's actually because we did not alter the toolbar colors on the dark theme The blue seems to fit in well with most dark themes
