Regarding with your main issue, it seems like you have updated your Joomla to 3.6.4 and causing this issue, I would suggest you upgrade to Easyblog 5 to solve this issue.

Actually that updater no longer work in Easyblog 3.x, if you would like to update to Easyblog 5 latest version, I can assist you on this.

But before we perform this, perhaps you can take a look how it look like in Easyblog 5 from our demo site -> http://demo.stackideas.com/ because the blog creation page already different from the Easyblog 3.x

And do the full backup on your site? In case any happen you still can revert back to your backup.

Once you ready, I will perform the upgrade Easyblog 5 into your site.

It's taken me a while to get back to you on this because it became apparent that the server solution that our client was using had NO BACKUP in place!!!

It's taken a while to get this sorted but there is now a daily backup starting overnight tonight.

Would you be able to allocate some time to update the plugin for us as suggested in your earlier response?
