Hi support, forum's users and general enthousiasts

I'm clearly a newbie but I'm stuck with a simple problem:
I don't find a way to add pics inside my blog !
I installed the latest version (easyblog full pro 5.0.25 for joomla 3)
I tried to find this fancy editor but I have just a simple one, far from the dream one
http://stackideas.com/guides/easyblog.pdf (page 25).
Am I retarded ?
Thank you
Mike
hey Mike,

I am really sorry that caused you this inconvenience on this,

Do you mean Easyblog build-in composer? If yes, you have to set this composer as default from backend > Easyblog > settings > general > composer tab > Composer Editor - Easyblog build-in composer

After that try open the composer from your frontend or backend, then click on `add block` button and select image block and upload your image through in your PC. (you can referring to my short video here : http://screencast.com/t/e4bhHoQFS42m )

Hope this will help.

http://stackideas.com/guides/easyblog.pdf (page 25).

By the way, may i know where you get this pdf file? because this pdf file is not updated.

Our latest documentation updated : http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/welcome

Hi Arlex and thank you for your answer.
I browsed and checked and I have 1 solution but 1 related problem.

first, the old doc was found by googling "easyblog doc pdf", that's it !

So, the problem...
I found in fact the block menu (it was enabled), but when I try to upload something (pic, sound, video, file), the process is stuck in the middle of nothing. Results: no upload, thus no pics into my post.
I have the latest joomla and easyblog installed days ago, the site is in fact not running (installing everything on it) but working.
Any idea ? In case of, I can send a private message to allow you to reach the site, the blog and see by yourself.

thank you for your help

Hi again,
my hoster made some tests on my site, this is their reply:

We disabled the mod_security2 module for your account by adding the following code to the .htaccess file in the www/www directory on the account:

SecRuleEngine Off
SecRequestBodyAccess Off

This allowed for the progress bar to reach 100% when uploading. However, we were still unable to use the uploaded image. If possible, please contact the vendor of the script for assistance and additional information.

Thanks for getting back to us these such good info

By the way, I've tried to access in your Joomla backend, but i hitting this :

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /administrator/ on this server.

Also can you provide us with your FTP access so we can help you check on this?

My hoster added this comment:

The directives we added disable the mod_security module. The mod_security module provides protection against some common hacking attacks, by scanning the requests to the website, and applying filtering rules.

Does it mean less security for my site ?

Hi Arlex,

seems strange for the backend...
As you can see, my hoster disabled some security parameters (=> results of this ?) and now I'm fine to upload pics and music (not tried anything else yet).

I keep this "on hold" for now, because my programmer want to install everything needed and make some tests. After that, when the site will be fully installed and tests made, I'll come back with other questions if needed.
Anyway, thanks for the quick help

hey Mike,

I am really sorry that delay of this reply,

My hoster added this comment:

Does it mean less security for my site ?

To be honestly, I do not have much knowledge regarding this server mod_security stuff, perhaps you can consult with your webhosting provider regarding this?

Okay, keep us updated then if you still facing some upload photo issue.
