Currently I have the stream item set to off under applications but it is still creating a stream item when someone uploads a profile photo.

Thanks
Matt
Hi Matt Meyer,

If I'm getting your meaning correctly, you have to disable this setting from your backend > Easysocial > application > User — Photos > Update Avatar Stream - NO Hope this help.

I believe I already have this set to no (see attachment). Are there any other setting I need to change in addition? Thank you

Hi Matt Meyer ,

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

Ok details are attached. Also I noticed that it is not displaying the uploaded profile photo stream item on the frontend which is correct however I can still see the stream item being created in the Easysocial admin under stream. Thank you

Hi Matt,

I am sorry. Let me clear the confusion which I am having now.
Regarding your reply earlier, "I noticed that it is not displaying the uploaded profile photo stream item on the frontend however I can still see the stream item being created in the Easysocial admin under stream"

The issue you're having now is at the backend isn't? The profile photo stream are still being created at the Stream tab at EasySocial. I believe this is the correct behavior of EasySocial. The setting which my colleague mention earlier is for displaying the stream at frontend.

Am I missing anything here?
Please advise.

Yes that is correct however I also have turned off other stream items such as when a user updates their profile or registers on the site and it does not display a stream item on either frontend or backend for those actions.

Hello Matt,

I am sorry but I am not really sure what issue exactly that you are having here. Do you want to hide these items on the front end? Turning off any of these settings will not hide anything from the back end. These settings are merely for the front end displaying purposes only.

The stream which you see on the back end is more of a data from the database which you can manipulate.
