Thanks in advance
Hey there,

After troubleshoot this long hour ago, I still unable to figure out yet what issue caused this yet.

Based on what I checked, it doesn't show any error when it trying to send email notification to the user from PHP code.

Can you consult with your web hosting provider regarding this and see whether possible to access to the logs from your mail server?

Because i would like to do some comparison what is the reason why those email send it from Joomla (e.g. activation email), those user can able to receive this email notification.

Hello Alex,

We made some test on our site. We can receive mail when using the test from Joomla backend with the method "PHP mail". When we have a look on the "Mail Activities", we have a list of mail activities.
Please find attached the log from our web hoster. Curiously, there is no error on that date (December, 6th, 2018).

By the way, we tried to send mail from AcyMailing. That works OK. Is there any feature to be activated in Easyblog?

Thanks in advance
Regards

Thanks for getting back to us,

Yes, that time I also tested Joomla registration page, it did send out those activation email to the new register user.

After debug long hour ago, I suspect your mail server did enable some content filtering feature, so some of the content will treat it as SPAM, this is why your mail server doesn't send out those blog email to the user.

Based on what i tested, if I replace those email content to normal sentence like "this is test post ", it can able to send this email to me , you can check my screenshot here : http://take.ms/q9EiQ .

So this can able to prove that some where your mail server did filtering the email content before it send.

I did attached a file which contain one of the email content generated from Easyblog, can you pass this to your mail server support and see whether there got any content detect it as SPAM?

If I remove this particular content (screenshot : http://take.ms/kI6v4), it can able to send out the email. (screenshot : http://take.ms/A16hB), so I assume that is it your mail server detected if there got any duplicate content in email, then it will not send this email out?

The reason why this email content has duplicate content is use to solve it for the outlook mail client for some specific issue and this duplicate content will not show into the email when the user read it.

And 1 more question, can you consult with your mail server support and see is there a way to temporary disable this content filtering feature? But I am not sure is this the correct term i mention this feature.

By the way, keep us update then.

Hello Alex,

Thanks for the information.
The website is hosted at ovh.com (main french webhoster), and our mailing server is at microsoft.com (office365.com).
Let us know how EasyBlog works, if we choose SMTP mailer with the correct parameters. (have a look on the attachement screenshot). We are working also the spam filter.

Thanks in advance

Hey there,

Actually Easyblog doesn't handle much about the mailing configuration, as long as Joomla email can able to send it to the user, mean everything will be fine.

But this case is different, it look like some where your mail server did some content filtering, this is why it unable to send out those blog email notification to the user.

Since you are planning to use SMTP mailer, can you try switch to use SMTP mailer and see how it goes?
