Hi!

I cannot locate users by searching with the search box in EasySocial. However, I can find them with advanced search. Could you please help me configure so that I may locate users (by user name, or by partial full name) without the need for using advanced search.

Have cleared the index in smart search and re-indexed, already.

Thanks
Hey Jeff,

I just tested this on your site and it seems to be working correctly as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/xZN98xPo

Am I missing anything here? Were you trying to search by real name or username? Since you configured EasySocial to use full name, you can only search by full name instead of username

But have now discovered some users are not appearing - try "Celeste"

Did he / she configure their privacy to not be search-able? Go to privacy settings on the front end as the user and click on "Profile" on the sidebar. There is a "profile searching" privacy option.

Hi Mark

Thanks for the links. Her privacy settings were set to allow for her to be searched. This one user was not searchable until I disabled and re-enabled her in the EasySocial dashboard. Since I did that, she appears in my searches. A little odd ?

Hm, perhaps the indexer was cached and by doing that, it cleared the cache. You can actually view a list of indexed items via Joomla's Smart Search area at https://site.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_finder&view=index and on the filter on the left, click on filter by EasySocial users.
