Can not create event in a group as there is no create event option and/or button to create an event
Hi David,

Do you mean that you do not see the event creation button or the event creation in the story form(http://take.ms/JSYLc)?

If that's the case, there may be several factors involved like group setting, group category/custom field setting.

Can you provide us your backend access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can investigate this?

Regarding your screenshot, there are actually no create event buttons in that layout. You would have to use the create button in the sidebar or from the dropdown in the header.

Hey David,

Unfortunately I am hitting the same warning(http://take.ms/OGhhR).

Are you hitting that warning too? If not, perhaps you can provide us your user account access.

Hey David,

Unfortunately, I am still unable to login(same error). I even asked my colleagues to try and the same happens.

Can you try disabling this plugin temporarily: Authentication - LDAP, and also reset the password of the user account?

Hey David,

I am able to access the backend now using the admin credentials. Will create a regular test user to test the group event.

I see that you got in
So this is an Admin tools issue

Regarding the event button not showing in the group....

I have now isolated the issue
If you go into the group and then click on the widget item events, this does not show a create event option.
You must click on the event application menu on sidebar or click on the dropdown menu and select create event.
Or you can use the event link in the share status box

Hey David,

It looks like you did not have the event creation custom field set up in the group category(http://take.ms/SspNg).

By default only owners are able to create events unless you specify it otherwise in this custom field.

I have helped you add this custom field in the 'Board of Directors' so groups under this group category can configure this.
