Hi Si Team

No idea what is going on here.
Recent changes to my site include:

a) upgrading from Joomla 3.8.3 to 3.8.4. Serveral days ago. Every thing seemed fine.
b) I change a http/https setting in Admin tools every thing seemed fine.
Have also disabled admin tools no change to my problem.

c) I updated to the latest version of ES from the previous one.

Every thing seemed fine.

I was in here:

https://stackideas.com/forums/activating-an-email-tempalte

Activating an email tempalte and then got a 404

I can still access top level menu in Joomla but anything under neath top level is messed up.

I have no idea if this is SI related but upgrading ES was the last major thing that I did on my site.

kindly advise

Paul
Update, I can no longer login to my back end
Any help greatly appreciated...

Update again:

I have no idea what is going on but after walking the dog everything was fine.
I am updating to Joomla 3.8.5 now so please do not touch anything.
The update kicks in Akeeba back up which means there is a full back up made before proceeding.
Please do not take any action until I report back

thanks

Paul

Hey Paul,

There seems to be some bugs in Joomla 3.8.4 which was quickly addressed in 3.8.5 but I don't see how it would affect the back end of your site. In the future, I would strongly suggest that you turn off all caching (including cloudflare) before upgrading Joomla.

Hey Mark

I had an issue for eg with SP Page builder pro about half a year ago where exactly this happened.
The Admin sub menu´s got messed up.
So I guess this kind of things can and do happen.

Any way every thing is fine now.

I hear you LOUD & CLEAR thanks for the tip.

I will act on this in the future

best

I see, thanks for this information Paul, if there any other user hitting this kind of issue I knew the root issue already

Any way every thing is fine now.

Great!

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.

Have a nice day ahead
