I read your requirements for EasySocial and it says that GD Library is required. Is it possible to use imagemagick instead of GD Library? I already have imagemagick installed on my server and I am using it for other purposes too.
Hello Neel,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Unfortunately right now EasySocial only supports GD library Imagemagick will be added in the future though

Regarding imagemagick, may I ask how far in the future are we looking at?

Hello Neel,

To be really honest, I don't have any timeline for this yet We do plan to refactor the photos on EasySocial 1.5 but it could be quicker depending on our work load

Fair enough... GD Library aint bad neither. I can use GD Library and Imagemagick simultaneously right? I mean, I will need to install GD for EasySocial and I am also developing a custom component for my joomla that uses ImageMagick and I dont want to change the IM codes I've written already. So I am guessing using both shouldnt be an issue isint it?

Hello Neel,

You probably just need to compile PHP with GD library and that should do it. Yes, you can run Imagemagick and GD side by side without any issues at all
